I was doing my research into nutrition and I ran across this term "GMO". I learned that GMO stands for genetically modified organism. Wikipedia has a pretty good explanation & it's also technical. My understanding is that our food contains GMO's and that affects the nutritional quality of the average person's daily diet. Once an organism's genetic makeup has been changed by mutation, insertion, or deletion of genes, it has been altered. It's the method by which this is done that is kind off scary.

Again, Wikipedia give you examples of how it happens, but wouldn't it be a little unnerving if your food was altered by using a virus? If you're like me, I want my food to be exactly what it is and not engineered in a lab! Yes, they've increased food stores globally with the trade-off that we don't get the same nutrition as our grandparents.

Now here's the kicker: Monsanto is an umbrella corporation with over 60 food brands which 9 out 10 households use; one of those, Con Agra, supplies to restaurants as well! Both use GMO's and now BASF, another chemical engineering corporation is partnering with Monsanto to "make it better".

So, if your food is being modified genetically, would you want to make that your complete diet? How about the increase of autism and diabetes in the past few years? It's been documented that GMO's have been around since the early 70's. Could it be possible there is a link to the increases of these dis-eases with the advent of genetically modified organisms?

My solution: Exercise, be wary of what packaged foods I eat and get the right nutrition and hydration. I use the Healthy Body Challenge every day! It's gives me the 90 Essential Nutrients that form the basis for improved nutrition. Remember Bob's backache? He followed the protocol for bone & joint health. His result was greater energy, increased mobility and no pain! Obviously, the nutrients were missing and his body healed itself when it got what was needed.

Do you want to leave your health in the hands of a corporation that is changing the food you eat or would you rather get your nutrition from a  source that cares about your health? Ar you ready for the Healthy Body Challenge?
